Oct 30 gave me a brief window of clear skies with some clouds for an astrophotography session with my Seestar smart telescopes. The conditions were not great as the seeing conditions were less than ideal but I am very pleased with the end result. These images are of M 33, , M 31, NGC 281 and M 45.

Apple caved to the Trump DOJ and removed the anti-ICE apps from its App Store. Cowardice.

I have been having a lot of fun this month with my Seestar S30 and S50 smart telescopes.

I have imaged a number of objects this month. Here are the final Seestar images from last night’s (April 25/26) efforts. The only editing was in app AI Denoise, brightness & contrast adjustments.

Enjoy!

Their faith lets them worship power while they’re offended by mercy. It’s not Christianity they’re practicing.

I managed to get a 2 hour window of clearer skies tonight (Jan. 8) to try to capture some more and clearer images of the moon and 50 minutes of 10 second exposures of the Andromeda Galaxy. Then the fog and clouds moved in to end the night’s stargazing session.

The new “little brother” to my Seestar S50 smart telescope, the Seestar S30 arrived yesterday and wonder of wonders the weather forecast called for clear skies. Well not quite, as it turned out to be very foggy and not a good night to be stargazing.

Unfortunately my first Blue Sky post is a sad one

Today, Dec. 18, 2024 we sadly had to say goodbye to our precious dog, Abby. She has had Pancreatitis for years. After 14.5 yrs she would not survive this acute attack. Today we had yo make the difficult design to end her suffering. Heartbroken
