Mostly here for Red Sox content and you shout my opinions into the void.
Nothing brings more joy than typing ‘Scott’ into google and google knowing I mean Hatteberg.

Masa looks so alone here. Straight up for Mookie so he can be with his friends.

What!? Roki is signing the the Dodgers?! That’s out of left field - didn’t see that.

I’m putting this on record now:

I’m a Masataka Yoshida guy.

Last year was the low point.

Imagine a world where the Yankees trade for Kyle Tucker only for him to sign elsewhere next offseason.

And another post season strike out for Aaron Judge.

Everyone is one day closer to signing (or not signing) than they were yesterday.

The “golden at-bat” proposal impacts how baseball is played strategically. It would not be good for the game.

Just spoke with a source close to the Soto signing:

“Expos’ PR team had a plan for the announcement that included a video of Soto at Olympic Stadium”

“Management got word of your report yesterday and called an emergency zoom meeting.”

“You nailed it…he’s coming to Montreal”

Thank god I grew up with stuffing because if I’d never heard of it before and someone showed up to my house as an adult with wet bread and celery casserole my first instinct would be to beat their ass.

Does Scott Boras feel more urgency this off season?

Last winter did not play out for a large portion of his clients. This makes you wonder if he’s pushing Soto to sign before the Winter Meetings so the attention can turn to the rest of his portfolio.

If I can overcome a crippling fear of the dentist, John Henry can overcome his crippling fear and sign Juan Soto.

This is awesome for the Red Sox. Cooper was at times very good. Nice to have a Swiss Army knife guy that can bounce between Worcester and Boston that’s capable of getting outs.

This is what Cora stayed on for. For someone who doesn’t want to manage forever, you have to imagine he wants to maximize his time. The Red Sox committed to him.

Sense of fireworks: growing.
Alex Cora on Red Sox offseason plans: ‘We’re going to be very aggressive’
Alex Cora wouldn't talk about the details of his trip to see Juan Soto, but he believes the Red Sox are going to execute on a detailed offseason plan to improve.

Here goes nothing.

I want the Red Sox to land top tier free agents as much as anyone.

I’m more interested in seeing how they approach the logjam of outfielders and middle infielders in the majors and upper minors. This is where the future of the team will come into view.

4000 days ago (December 3, 2013), the Yankees sign free agent outfielder - and former Red Sock - Jacoby Ellsbury to a seven year contract that will guarantee him at least $153 million.

This works out super-well for New York and they never regret the move. Nope. Not at all.
