Something that I have never seen talked about in deconstruction groups is the immense grief you feel changing to atheism from Christianity. Changing your reality of expecting a consciousness for eternity in heaven, to an average lifespan of 75 years.... it's just deep deep grief.

Saturdays protests have given me more hope then I have felt in months. We crossed the 3.5% threshold so change is coming. I just hope it is change towards humanity and not towards authoritarianism and more hate.

Does anyone else feel stuck between planting a garden to make sure your family has food in 6 months, making go bags for your family in case you need to flee in the night, and researching immigration attorneys to see where you can move to claim asylum? I feel stuck in indecision....

Looks like the TikTok ban is a go. Even if they are bought out by far right billionaires, I won't go back. I guess I will on YouTube and here. My Facebook will be phased out slowly.

It's not too late for your flu shot. If you haven't gotten one yet, please do. Influenza is spreading quickly, and vulnerable populations are ending up in the hospital. This is a nasty flu you do not want.
