aaaaand now I'm studying to get my amateur radio license lol. The technical aspect is a lot of fun, though a lot of the folks in this hobby are crotchety old white dudes or preppers. Be sure to use a PO box if you ever register with the FCC, otherwise you will dox yourself on day one.

To my surprise they've really taken off, and a cheap one can be had for about $30. If you're ever interested in trying out SDR, these RTL-SDRs are pretty fun to tinker around with!
