But, it also means SNOW. And CUDDLES with my BABY (who's not much of a baby anymore ha!). And making WAYYYYYY too many baked goods. And the world outside is so so so blissfully quiet. No leaf blowers. No lawn mowers. So...the wind, the occasional chatter of walkers, and the low thrum of the highway.

It is my most creative, most productive time of year where I settle my butt into my chair with an electric blanket and massive amounts of coffee and glue my nose to my work and get into the Winter Maker Zone.

Couldn't agree with this more! One of my favorite Del Toro series ever (Trollhunters..which is vastly underrated) is one where it was his concept and idea but he had other writers doing the brunt of the writing. It was vision and heart...with incredible dialog and writing.

Rosemary & Co (UK based) makes some of my favorite brushes ever. I recommend the kolinsky rounds for inking personally, but they have excellent synthetics too. links comin':

Or Bond was rescued at the last moment, but he's kept locked in a bubble so he doesn't infect the world while his stunt double (reveal!!!) continues to do his job for him. Now Bond IS the world-ending device, and future plots rest on his double finding a cure while pretending to enjoy a dry martini.

Though personally, I'd integrate the usual world-ending device into the theme of how he WASN'T blown up, such as a giant holographic device that can cover up entire continents, and that was the REAL test behind the illusion of the island exploding.

Also, working on something creative that isn't super fulfilling still drains my creativity, so that at the end of the day, there's nothing left to actually work on the projects I find more fulfilling.
It's like I only get so much and must choose how to spend it wisely.

Avoid it. I've made art that I didn't enjoy as much for the sake of paying bills and decided after that I would literally rather flip burgers or wait tables than do that again (and have done just that).
Found that if I'm not over-the-moon for a project, it will turn into torture eventually.

If you like smart, thrilling sci-fi dystopias set in an ancient mythos world and haven't read Red Rising by now, you are SERIOUSLY missing out. I will quote the first line just so you know what you are missing:
