Moving from the Ishgard/Dravania area to study at Sharlayan, and the sheer dissonance in cuisine between the two, was profoundly upsetting to Rivi. From the richness of French cooking to... that. 😔

Also I realize how much I just haven't shared of that on here yet and... aaaa I want to save at least some of it for the fic, but that's been slow going and the urge to make a big thread about the twists and turns of their relationship across the MSQ is so strong

But even so, the meaning I've found in what I've come up with for her and how I've wrapped her into Rivi's story is too strong for me to be affected in the long run either way. The thing about fanfic is if you don't like how things are handled you can just fix it yourself, and it's a great feeling

I try to at least be happy she got much at all, and it wasn't done carelessly, but... idk.

I know it boils down to how they treat Lalafell in general and that's just a whole thing.

Okay speaking seriously, much has been said about how she's been treated by the writers, and I'm sadly pessimistic that the situation will improve much.

I love indulging in fanfic but at a certain point it starts to feel hollow when my favorite character is kind of an afterthought in the game.
