The Riverside County Department of Animal Services today announced that the system was currently at 220% capacity across all shelters with more than 1,000 dogs housed in facilities designed for half that number as peak intake season begins.

For this story, we looked at four years of campaign finance filings, and were able to see how the cost of campaigns skyrocketed in 2022, when the Inland Empire Family PAC got involved in local school board elections.

It was an emotional send off for Supervisor Kevin Jeffries at yesterday's Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting as supervisors, county staff and public commenters took time to share their appreciation for the long-time elected official.
