Cyno sketches in exploration of how his hair and subsequent styling changed over time. I’d like to think Sethos inspires him to do more with it and that becomes something else they can bond over
Four sketches of Cyno from Genshin Impact in increasing age. The baby version has darker, curly hair with white roots. The teen version has his hair straightened with brown at the ends but white on top. The third is labeled pre-SQ2 and has his standard game hair. The fourth is post-SQ2 and features a protective style in a similar shape to his standard hair but with a half bun in the back. Some locs have gold jewelry. He is also wearing larger earrings here.

"You know, I've noticed something." Wanderer does not turn, arms crossed as Sethos stalks around him. He keeps his arms behind his back--feigning harmlessness. Wanderer can spot a killer from a thousand paces away. Sethos' eyes gleam like Rishboland tiger's in the fading light of dusk. "I assume you'll tell me whether I care to ask or not," he says, chin lifted just enough to ensure that Sethos still looks up at him. He laughs, a sickening kind of twinkle that makes people trust him. Wanderer is not fooled. "You'd be right," he says, taking another slow lap around Wanderer. He finally stills in front of him, leaning forward just enough to place himself below him. "I think you know what I'm going to ask you." "Do I?" Sethos smiles, close enough that Wanderer can feel his breath, fresh like mints and vaguely sweet. Venomous. "Something happened to Irmunsil. Something changed. You know what it is," he whispers, still smiling despite the cold dread swirling in Wanderer's gut. No one is supposed to know that. Even Buer had needed a failsafe in order to figure that out. Sethos cannot possibly know that. "I don't know anything about Irmunsil," he says, unmoving. "Don't play dumb with me, Ears of God." He is still smiling. His hand lifts, brushing against Wanderer's vision. "You think no one would notice what happened to you? A friendly and helpful puppet wandering the lands suddenly full of vitriol and spite? That no one would question where the Dendro Archon got a toy from the Electro Archon?" Wanderer steps back, scowling. "I'm not a toy. Take your insanity elsewhere." "No, you're not," Sethos muses, standing up straight. Like this, his eyes are centimeter's higher than Wanderer's. "But you let yourself be used like a pawn. I wonder what would happen if the Electro Archon wanted you back?" "She does not." Wanderer tries to step back again, but Sethos inches after him. "What do you actually want?" Sethos brings a hand to Wanderer's neck, gently running along the side. Wanderer cannot fathom why he's allowing this, the ghost of a caress lowering his guard far too fast. "Tell me, Wanderer," Sethos murmurs, pulling him so close that his lips brush Wanderer's cheek for a fleeting moment. "What secrets are you hiding in here?" It's not quite a scream that leaves him when sizzling electro zips through his system, swirling through artificial veins and muscle from Sethos' fingers pressing into the symbol on the back of his neck, but its close. Sethos releases him, laughing as if he has instead told a practical joke instead of inflicting pain upon a veritable stranger. He is still buzzing when Sethos trots away, the promise of a return on his coattails.

“They have equal opposite problems,” Tighnari explains, quiet in the stillness of the darkened house. “Cyno is dealing with excess divine energy. Sethos the absence of it.” “The Ba fragments.” Tighnari nods, following Wanderer’s instructions as they begin prepping ingredients. “He had miragnes all the time as a child. Cyrus could never do quite enough for him.” “Humans have their limits.” “That they do.” The pestle grinds into the mortar with more force than necessary. “Everyone wanted the Ba fragments in a single host for one reason or another. Maybe it was the right decision. But no one ever thought about the consequences.” Wanderer lets him take out his guilt on the seeds, instead setting water to boil. “I’m grateful they both didn’t just drop dead,” Tighnari continues, quiet. “If I ever treat Collei like a pawn, you’ll smack some sense into me, won’t you?” “Gladly.” Tighnari huffs, amused now. The pummeled seeds are granted mercy. “Thanks.”
