Sadly this checkbox doesn't actually change anything; it just lets you use the function in contexts that need to be threadsafe. The actual behavior doesn't change, and if the function wasn't safe the checkbox won't make it so

Thanks to @iquilezles.bsky.social 's blog (iquilezles.org/blog/) for the UV tricks that make this effect possible. They're the real hero, I just made it convenient to use in Unreal :P
