Ever since I learned the fast, no fuss, darn near foolproof way to make a small batch of hollandaise, eggs benedict has become an easy option, limited only by my arteries.

This uses up the last of the sage and cheddar biscuits very nicely. 🍜🍽️🍳🥚

Soup Week, day 6: Borsch(t).

I have several different recipes for this, depending on how it's to be eaten. I even have a golden version. This one uses beef broth but no pieces of meat.

Soup Week, day 4:

Tonight it's leftovers of the ham and potato soup from day 1, so I decided to make some cheddar sage biscuits to go with, to switch things up a little.

Soup Week, day 3:

Bacon, Brown Lentil & Tomato, a very hearty entry in the soup œuvre. Some fast, sketchy garlic bread to change things up a little.

Tomorrow, the leftovers will get a little splash of balsamic vinegar, and that's going to be a #GoodLunch.

One of the excellent things about having soup for supper is having soup again for lunch the next day.

Today's butternut redux sports a jaunty swirl of El Yucateco's smoky black hot sauce, introducing a different note and shifting the character of the soup completely across the world.

Soup Week, day 2.

Butternut squash soup with a hint of curry. It's very smooth, thanks to the inclusion of a potato, which keeps the squash from looking mealy when it's puréed.
