All ok here thanks J. I’ve just been up to Clifton Ings to look have a look at the river. Ouse in York is falling steadily and back below 3.00 metres of flood this morning. Looks like your roads more affected in Doncaster

Love this picture Steve. It immediately evokes the cover of “Distant Light” - Hollies Album

Good Morning ORCs. I hope you are enjoying this long weekend. Yesterday involved brunch in our small urban vineyard and in the afternoon we went to view 2 wonderful exhibitions at the Whitworth:

The wonderful textile art of Margorzata Mirga-Tas and a fascinating collection of JMW Turner prints

Good Morning ORCs. A cooler week in prospect in Yorks, but worryingly little chance of rain. I’m concerned about the health of our rivers and their wildlife. Here is a picture of the River Ouse

Your picture of Leo reminded me how much I miss my Louie, and today I had to drive over to my ex-wife’s and saw him. He was 20 years old in July and compared to his former self, is sadly pretty much skin and bone these days. I felt quite emotional, but he let me pick him up.

If you like an amazing arts and crafts church St Mark's Church, Brithdir is worth a visit. You may already know it? Wonderful carving and copper work. Looked after by Friends of Friendless Churches

We had a lovely stay in Gwesty Tynyconel at Tal-y- llyn. Lovely lakeside walks and handy for Cadair Idris. You may know it - I think it’s next valley south of where you rented cottage near Castel-y-here. We were disappointed with CAT. OH says it is looking tired and little changed recently.
