I have done things.
The Aurora made it to Texas. A quick shot. #astrophotography

Let's look at how stupid their painting the wall is. 1. They are painting directly over rusted metal which means it is going to flake back off very quickly. No prepping or anything. And knowing the idiot that is in charge, they probably picked up some interior paint from Home Depot.

Today's picture. The Crescent Nebula. NGC 6888. About 5,000 light years away. 2 nights worth of data, stacked and processed with the Seestar S50.

A full moon and lots of turbulence limited my options the other night. M3 is always a good choice. 500,000 stars. 34,000 light years away. Taken with the SeeStar S50. About a 1,000 10 second images stacked and processed in Pixinsight. #astrophotography

NGC 4395 is approximately 14 million light years from us. A unique Seyfert type galaxy in that it does not center bulge and is considered a dwarf galaxy. One of the least luminous but nearest of the Seyfert galaxies. 120 3 minute exposures on a Svbony 80ed and ASI533MC. #astrophotography #ngc4395

Since they are slashing NASA funding I have to step up and help. NGC 6946, also known as the Fireworks Galaxy due to 10 supernovas being observed within it in the last century. 25.2 million light years away. Trying to learn processing with the S50. 4 hrs of data. #astrophotography #seestar #NGC6946

The death of every small business in America. You think competing against Amazon it tough now, wait until they are exempt and you are not. Unless you can come up with a 100 million to donate to Trump. It was always a grift.

Day 75. Finally testing out the old mount I had to rebuild with parts from Ukraine. It may end up taking down some Russian Migs. Not a bad thing.

Day 74. A little late. Dealing with work calls at midnight and noticed a break in the clouds so I sat out the S50 to finally test it. Nearly full moon so not expecting much. M51 a little over 15 minutes in. Not bad for the little scope. #astrophotography

Day 73. While waiting.

Day 72. On the way to another track meet.

Day 71. I'm back in business again. A test shot.

Sigh.

Day 70. This was purely accidental but turned out kind of interesting. Forgot to put the filter in so this was a full spectrum picture. It was weird how the yellow flower stood out from the rest of the "green" grass/weeds. Not edited in any substantial way.

Day 69. Nice.

Day 68

Day 67. Rain. Blah.
March 8, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Day 66. People are idiots. So here is a picture without people. Yes, still playing with the infrared spectrum.
March 8, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Day 65. As long as I get the picture up before the sun comes up it counts. My rules. Anyway, a casualty from the storm. #dailypicture

Day 64. Ok, another IR false color image. I know, I know. At least it is not a 90 minute long rant so be thankful.
March 6, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Day 63. (A little late.) Not doing homework.

Day 62. Playing around with a false color (aerochrome like) infrared filter. Plus a macro type shot. Works better in a wide angle shot but not good lighting for today. Take what you can get. And I don't know what I am doing yet.

Day 61.
March 2, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Day 60. Still trying to learn infrared. A random picture at 70 mph. (I was not driving.)
