I dont practice nearly as much as I need to to get better, and so I have no real style or process yet, but here is an unfinished piece I was working on to teach myself procreate on an ipad

The most important lesson I took away from this? Learn to draw bangs because I suck at eyebrows

If I had to pinpoint the moment I moved on from my higher res sprite experiment, it was probably when I was looking to animate a walk cycle

Not because of the high pixel count. I was just starting to suspect I was focusing on the wrong things

I was once having trouble creating low res sprites for a turn based project. Something about the abstraction does not come easily to me

For whatever reason I decided to attempt a far higher resolution, and even if it was doomed to go nowhere I like how it turned out

After a few failures I was basically an expert, my confidence was high. It was time to remind Konami how tactical espionage is done

As you can see, I got patrols, line of sight, and pursuit all working nicely

Then it was time to jump into Blender

For a while I worked on a 2D Dungeon Keeper-style game, and idea I still sometimes think about

I got many things working but eventually I tried to create goblin sprites and they kept looking like angry peas

One of my first projects - a 2D sidescrolling monster catcher game. I created Shroomhawk, who would headbang to spread spores

I realised that making a game is like finding love - it takes more than a tiny mushroom to get someone excited

Hello. Every somebody started as a nobody. Maybe this nobody can make something happen too

I code often and art not often enough. I do not have much, but I can probably share some experiments and abandoned work until I get somewhere
