Yeah so far 2 feels much more manageable. 1’s bosses seem to either require extremely specific strategies or just getting some RNG support through Cop Out. It’s not a deal breaker but just a weird choice imo

Honestly I can’t think of a better representation of ADHD brain than seeing the banana and immediately forgetting about it when it gets blocked temporarily. I felt this in my core.

Dear Me, I Was...
Wanted something short after DQ3. Loved the visuals (the art is incredible) and presentation. Takes less than an hour to get through, and the story it tells is very moving (esp the ending sequence). More people should check this out. I'd love to see how they did the rotoscoping.

Dragon Quest III - HD-2D Remake:
I waited until we were closer to 1+2 launch so I could do all games in succession (I wanted the Switch 2 patch too). I can't say enough how much I liked the QoL stuff. Other than IV this is the DQ I've played the most and the remake really helps it shine.

Hollow Knight: Silksong:
Not a lot to say here that hasn't been said already. Great game, worth the wait, and I hit 100% completion at about the 50 hour mark. I actually like it more than HK. Ran great on Steam Deck too.

Pokemon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero:
I finally went back and finished both DLCs. It was a good excuse to see how the game ran on Switch 2 and overall I really had a pleasant time with both chapters. I'm properly hype for Z-A next month.

Harvestella: I had been picking away at this one for a while. The story is a bit cliche, but I really enjoyed the job system. I was put off by the time management stuff at first, but it quickly becomes a non-issue. Definitely an ARPG first and foremost and a farming sim a distant second.

This brings me so much joy.
