We were thinking of the Mercurichrome, as mercury is toxic even if it's used topically as an antiseptic. (Also, camphor is toxic, too, but that's beside the point.)

If you haven't been to the Mercer Museum, we recommend it. It's a labyrinthine castle with lots of his own tile work.
