Though Elijah Wood has plenty of grit and energy, nobody would ever accept him as Joel in LOU2 - because he doesn't have the right build. Physicality is inseparable from character. Casting petite (5'2" tops), compact, sweet-faced Kaitlyn Dever as towering, muscular Abby is sexist gas-lighting.
