aside: the therapy is good, albeit damn hard work sometimes, because I keep confronting stuff that just feels intractable, probably partly because of whatever *this* is; OTOH ADHD meds can't address other real issues, that are worth engaging with anyway.

Both, and; not either, or.

Makes sense. A good friend has had the experience you're talking about too; known me long enough to STRONGLY suspect the same root cause.

Thanks!

An idle thought: I'm in my 50s, so by now a lot of patterns are quite well formed. Perhaps what started out as chemical has now hardened into character flaws? These things I muse on.

Sigh. I am stuck between character flaw diagnosis (15 yrs therapy) and maybe a magic pill. But no practical way to get diagnosis plus no one believes ADHD is possible based on visible evidence. I achieve things but the struggle…. Man.

Melissa Mohr's "Holy Sh*t" and Geoffrey Hughes's "Encyclopedia of Swearing" are great. Hughes's "Swearing: A Social History…" has rich detail but not modern. Rob Chirico's "Damn!" covers the US, and Ben Bergen's "What the F" addresses recent shifts from a cog-sci pov

I was blown away by how good
It was.

And I don’t think Rogue One was as good at all.

Yes... I used to file, for quite a few years; but once you have good search, it's just not as relevant. Brute force over library science/cataloguing/etc.

We're talking conceptually, right? Not concrete implementations, which may vary/be proprietary/some maybe open?

Eg things like Google's Bigtable and other ideas -- NoSQL/key-value at large scale?
