Of course, we know the figures for Real GDP without government consumption and investment (GDPxG). It's line 11 of NIPA Table 1.17.6. Here is the growth of GDP vs. GDPxG. I don't see a very clear distinction between the growth of the two, especially over the past 8 years.

Shouldn't these dollars be normalized in some way? Certainly for inflation, but even better by percentage of total health spending. As indicated here, the total "net revenue" of these big companies is $50 billion, or about 1% of total health care spending in the country.
