There’s a particular web site that helps older kids in foster care find families, and it feels A LOT like a pet adoption site. THAT is creepy af.

When Bug was tiny, I would pull out a dish tub and a couple of liquid measuring cups and let her pour water back and forth between them. It would give me enough spoons to make dinner.

Tagging out with my co-parent, giving the kid something else to hug/jump on (stuffies, big pillows, mini trampoline). Musicians earplugs. Various parenting mantras. It’s so hard and you’re doing an amazing job. ❤️

My transmasc husband had the same issues when he was a SAHD almost a decade ago. So frustrating that the problem still exists.

And from a parent’s perspective, different kids are ready for different things at different ages! Swearing doesn’t bother my kid, but violence definitely does.

Get your flu shot & COVID booster if you can (and haven’t already)! My super-healthy kiddo got the flu and had a bad couple days, & doc said it would’ve been much worse without the flu shot.
