I make things. Most of those things involve code, but not all of them do.

Currently I'm making a book imposition tool. Check it out at imposify.com!
I voted for Bernie, asshole. I wrote angry letters when they cheated him at the DNC. You don't even know a goddamned thing about me.

I am done with you.

I know who would have had the lower kill count.

Well hey now that everyone is knocked down a couple tiers lower on the heirarchy of needs and increasingly fearful for their own lives maybe we can focus harder on that.

Your statement makes little sense as the core premise of my argument has been harm reduction and "people who didn't vote for Harris because of one bad thing let Trump win and he'll do it anyway". I didn't want anyone to burn the whole thing down. Not sure where the source of confusion is here.
January 8, 2026 at 7:08 PM
I don't know how to emphasize this strongly enough: IDGAF about Harris. I am not a Democrat.

I do believe that it is easier to fix a flaw than it is to let an malevolent org of some of the richest and most powerful bad guys in the world take control and burn it down while you go "tsk tsk".

A democracy with two choices IS a broken democracy. Fixing it would be great. Looking for any solution that is not "let things get worse".
January 8, 2026 at 6:49 PM
Jesus. Oookay, look man, if you provide me a binary choice between a candidate that has a major flaw and a candidate that is a literal toxic waste dump WITH THAT SAME FLAW, then yes, yes I am gonna pick the candidate of least harm.

I do not think this is a complex viewpoint to understand.

Did you miss the sea of people here who were loudly screaming about how they wouldn't vote for Harris because she wasn't anti-Israel enough for them? Maybe all those people were "the right" or bots or something, but I really don't think so.

The problem is that too many niche groups don't give a flying fuck about anything other than getting theirs.
January 8, 2026 at 4:48 PM
There must come a reckoning so great that none of this is attempted ever again.

Python doesn't normally compile

Uh, it's spelled "micky mouse connector"...

The same people who have been stuck holding them since their inception I'd imagine.

Not pictured is the bailing wire and duct tape.

I thought W. himself DID speak out against Trump years ago...

I still think about it a lot. We were a group from various teams, asked to work out this CPU usage problem on this particular product. All of us in a circle, looking at the unlabeled graph line and then at each other, wondering if this was an elaborate joke the others were in on.

Hey I hand chop entire cloves of my own garlic and then pack it into the jar myself.

I'd like to think that he's still out there, telling people that my company "hates white people just like Microsoft", not realizing that neither company hated white people, just _him_.
December 19, 2025 at 5:12 PM
A week later I had a performance daemon I could load onto the device to extract the cpu usage over an interval and then generate meaningful graphs through Google Charts. Mine had fixed axis and labels.

It was about another week after that before he was gone.
December 19, 2025 at 5:10 PM
I remember a guy I briefly worked with was telling me about how he got laid off at Microsoft because "they don't like white people anymore".

The next status meeting distributing printouts of device CPU usage he hand tabulated on excel, without labels. It took him a full day to make the chart.

What if you use a regular controller and just only hold one side of it?
December 12, 2025 at 8:59 PM
And now they'll hate you for that too for "not contributing to the economy".
December 12, 2025 at 8:57 PM
This sounds like a fantastic way to get around the fact that I no longer own keyboards with numpads on them.
