RIPIL is based at American University. Founded in 2020, RIPIL investigates pressing topics in international peace, security, development, and humanitarian response with the aim of translating scholarly research into real policy solutions.

Meet Dr. Scovia Aweko! She is a postdoctoral fellow with the RIPIL-LPI policy-practice-partnership. Her research on the Kenyan Maandamano explores how mobilizers leverage events to recruit and sustain participation in movements.
