Finnish guy who is just learning the basics to his own life. I love animals and appreciate nature by taking photographs of them. Also trying to better myself as a person one step at a time. Hoping you have a great rest of the day!
A least weasel in Tourujoki Nature trail, Jyväskylä, Finland on 4th of December.
A curious little animal for sure gave us so many poses that me and my camera didn't catch all of the poses and angles.

Keep your eyes and ears open while walking in nature. Walk calmly and you might be lucky next time.

These missed shots sometimes have more character than the one I was hoping to get. Look at the happy little European pied flycatcher diving off from the branch ☀️

So happy that yesterday (Thu) before work I managed to go for a walk and photograph the european dipper (one of my top 10 birds) that I saw on Wednesday. This is pretty much the best picture of the bunch and the only one I had time to edit before going to bed.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone ☀️

First pictures glued to a paper for a nature photo album! Yay! 🥳

A blue tit on a planted juniper tree. Picture from yesterday through a window. Even though many of the pictures in sharpness and clearness weren't good imo, because of the window between me and the bird, I still found it enjoyable to take pictures of birds even if through a window.

And since it is duck time as I previously said: More pictures of ducks! This time with interesting poses and what I would call expressions. Ducks are pretty expressive in my opinion. They might not be the prettiest at first glance but surely cute looking after you see them up close and observe.

I still have an idea of taking more portraits and shots of ducks nearby but haven't gotten the "itch" to take the camera "out for a walk". While this will eventually happen, in the meanwhile I've been able to go through more of my old photos and this time it is duck time.

Today I wanted to practice photoediting using LR's masks when I went through this old photo again from 2022. I feel pretty happy with the result. It highlights the bird but also keeps a fairly natural look.

Two versions of the same photo: edited (left) and unedited (right). Same AI noise reduction.

Still going through old photos to gain space for newer ones. Also a way to relax and have fun.

Here's a few photos of old pictures (2023) here and there. First two are of a white wagtail who is hunting for insect going from one water plant leaf to another. Later two are of a yellow wagtail.

Sometimes you don't need to take a picture of the animal to know what it is and what it was doing. Mountain hare. 🐇

Picture from last Christmas in Finnish Lapland (22.12.2023) while me and my little sister were out looking for a suitable Christmas tree in a family's friend's forest.

Please tag the AI pictures you share here for basic transparency when it has been created or heavily modified using AI tools. I love a good AI picture as much as a photo or hand made art piece but for example I don't want to mistake an AI pic as an actual photo or vice versa. 🌞Thank you!

Good morning everyone! 🌞 Another day to start off the best you can, one step at a time ☃️

A great tit from last April (2024). Had a interested look at me waiting birds to land on the feeder at our family cottage in Finland. Get yourself some breakfast if you haven't already to start your day right 🌞

What's your go-to snack or food when going out in long nature photography walks or outings?

I'd like to hear what foods others might be taking to keep their energy up while taking photos ☀️
I think food rests play a big part in an enjoyable nature/wildlife photography outing. 🍂 Photo from September.

Have a wonderful day! 🌞

Hoping this picture of a blue tit brightens your day (April 2024). Still haven't gotten back into taking photos but that day will come eventually. Time to declutter the computer hard drives. ☀️

Good morning once again! ☀️ Things going in the right direction which is great, no matter how small the progress. Wishing you a great day 🌞

Again an old picture from January 2022 but with a recent edit. Might take out the camera again once I clear some space on my computer. ☀️ Little steps, I guess 🌞

Winter is indeed on its way. Wintery fog, mist and frost already reminding of what's ahead. Snowy days are creeping in.

The picture is of a willow tit in a spring winter scene (April 2024) in Finnish Lapland. My favorite bird ☀️ I'll definitely photograph them next time I'm at the family cottage.

I'm new to the platform -> I didn't really use Twitter at all.
All I pretty much like to post is pictures I wanna share to others. They're mostly pictures of nature, wildlife or pets. Here's an older picture I took of a squirrel at the start of my photography hobby. New edit though. 🌞
