I could make a WHOLE POST about what transition looks like for trans people in Tartarus, the magical and medical variants... but all you need to know is Fin is functionally intersex, which comes with a host of hormonal issues but can be handy in this case - he has a dick and has retained part of his female reproductive system (namely his front hole). TLDR: The top sketch shows him ejaculating and the second shows him getting pounded. There is a note above this about pain, itching, and libido - this is irrelevant to the context of this sketch page other than the fact that it refers to Complusory Regeneration Cycles in Tartaruns. I could make ANOTER post about that, but tl;dr hormonal flux causes libidio to skyrocket sometimes. That's it. (Fuck, how do I end simple descriptions of sex? I'm used to writing sex SCENES not image descriptions lmao. Biggest hurdle of this backlog series.)

A bad-ish, small, pencil-on-paper sketch comic begins with a messy thumbnail frame of two characters sitting on a bed or bench-like structure in a given space. The frame is captions "in the barracks because of a bomb threat." In this panel, no one is talking and they are facing away from each other. Context: this is the Heran Manor barracks cavern, in which everyone from the stronghold itself can be brought down to and roomed off in safe, separate locations while a threat above-ground is dealt with. Ev and Fin are almost always put in the same quarters (or Fin and his second, or Ev and theirs). Currently, they are mad at each other for reasons I'll explained later. A split panel with close-ups of each character's face. The one on the left is Ev, depicted here with short hair and their usual pendant, face strips, and broad nose. They are in a cut-off tee. Fin is on the right, a hand over his mouth as he gives Ev a dirty side-eye and leans forward on his knees. In the panel Ev tries to say "so are we gonna talk about the--" and Fin cuts them off with a firm "no." The third and final panel, which depicts Ev and Fin sitting next to each other in greater detail than before. Both have a go-bag on the side opposite each other. Fin is in a VERY SPECIFIC HOODIE and sweats, his hair flaming a little. Ev is in a crop top and very specific not-shorts. Fin mutters "fuck" to himself while facing away from Ev, his face hatched with blush. Ev says a resigned "ok" as they cross their legs. Context under the next pic. A zoomed-out pic of the page this comic was drawn on, which contains CONTEXT! Same panel as last time, but with notes. One note by each character says "hard" and "also hard" respectively. Another fourth "panel" reads "It's 2018. Post-breakup." Because these 2 were together-in-everything-but-name until 2015 E-10 when Ev realized they had Feelings and got scared something was going to happen to Fin so they broke it off. Fin thought this was stupid. They still fight about it. A note beneath Fin reads "wearing The Hoodie (TM), which they used to swap as a joke (and fuck in...)" and beneath Ev is one that reads "their PJs are Fin's boxers and one of his crop tops." A final note near Fin says that he's also wearing a pair of Ev's briefs beneath his sweatpants. This is the most supremely awkward position they could find themselves in. Both wearing the other's clothes (stolen underwear, no less), both clearly aroused by this fact, and forced to reside together until the threat upstairs is neutralized. It's glorious.

Two 4+ yr old doodles of a character with short hair, a tattered cape with a furr hood, and a giant paintbrush tool/weapon á la Ink Sans from Underverse, if anyone still gets that reference. In the first doodle, the character has one fist up in front of the song title for MCR’s “Planetary (GO!).” In the second they’re frozen mid-jump, a finger towards the viewer, framed by lyrics from the same song. Both doodles are orange, pink, and purple and have a glow to them. They’re very energetic sketches, which says something for 2020/2021 me.

I love reading books by specialists bc you can just tell immediately that whoever wrote this entry for the House Sparrow though the group who released 100 birds in NYC 170 years ago were IDIOTS
A picture of a birding book (“Birds of Ohio” by McCormack and Kennedy) entry for the old world House Sparrow, an invasive species of seed-eating sparrow. The part of the text the poster is referencing reads: “One hundred birds were released in New York City in the mid-1850s, as a cure for various insect crop pests. Subsequent releases occurred around the eastern U.S., including in Ohio. However, the avian rocket scientists responsible for the project failed to realize that House Sparrows are primarily seedeaters, and weren't at all effective in their intended purpose.” I read it as very catty and critical in the funniest of ways.
