Our first release this year is out! The 2025.01 release of RIOT OS brings support for the same51-curiosity-nano board, documentation for our community processes, and many ports to our new netdev API introduced in the 2022.10 release.

RIOT OS 2024.10, codenamed FlexTape, has been released today.
This version of the friendly OS for the #iot brings enhancements around signed firmware updates, several security fixes, and dozens of other improvements.

Dear RIOTers, I am happy to announce that RIOT 2024.10 “FlexTape” has been released! 🥳 Here are some of the highlights: This release fixes some long-standing packet buffer leaks that occurred when using gnrc_netif_pktq and 6LoWPAN or netdev_new_api (#20983, #20834). A long standing-bug in the CC2538 radio driver has been fixed when processing corrupted frames, that before could render the device unresponsive. The RIOT devroom at #froscon is shutting down, but our team is still roaming the event. It was great talking to so many people, and having more than 20 participants in two workshop sessions.

A new release has been published: RIOT OS 2024.07, nicknamed StrikinglyCrowded, is available as of today. This release of the friendly #os for the #iot features support for more hardware, PSA backed key storage, as well as many improvements in our #coap support.
