I'm gonna be thinking about this for a while, honestly. Amatonormativity is incredibly prevalent everywhere, but I tend to feel it most in fandom spaces. As much as I enjoy shipping, it's not what I'm primarily into things for. It can feel a bit cloying. Commenter on the post hit with this too:
