As others said, conditioner in the shower. Brush it out with a wide-tooth comb when it’s wet. Get a hair trim to remove the dead ends so it’s healthier. The coarser it is, the more likely the tangles. You want soft and silky.

I will say, the effect does look really cool. BUT it does make the interior buggy, especially the teleport pads from the Corvette docking spots - they teleport you into space. 😅
