Also: less frustrated something I prepped for hours that they instakill, an NPC falls flat, or they decide to spend 3 sessions on a side mission for spicy shrimp.

Keeps me focused on what the players want out of the game and then when they throw my plans out the window, they’re just choosing another path to the same place: fun at the table for everyone.

Game prep is no longer focused on story or campaign goals, but crafting a moment for each PC to shine and laugh in delight.
