Agreed. It feels like after 2 albums of perfect execution for the concept, they didn't have that same clear vision. Like it struggles in ways that VBBB and TEAB didnt because it feels like there just wasnt a sufficient amount of ground to tread in comparison. It being good is a testament to them tbh

They kinda did with the Yu-Gi-Oh tag force games. The gameplay loop is you play the faceless person, team up with people from the show, then help them through unseen segments of the story, all while building a collection of cards/decks using the banlist at the time. It's great stuff

This all being said: Kaladesh being renamed to Avishkar in response to critique from cultural consultants AND that change being worked into the lore that the revolutionary government changed the plane's name to reflect a more united & equitable future is a banger move.
