Not gonna lie…I’m “teacher tired” after last week. My buddy brought my favorite seasonal beer by and we sat out on the deck talking sports, memories, beer and life. It’s been awhile. Time gets away. Take time for those around you. My friend had no clue how much his random visit meant to me today.

Great start on the spring project!

Sometimes, I question my choice to become a teacher, but not today. My students went above and beyond, sharing their creative process and challenges and yes, I might’ve teared up Proud of their creativity and perseverance! Thanks to Emily Flach from the Learning Technology Center for attending!

Where was that taken? We saw quite a few bergs on our Alaskan cruise a couple summers ago. We were supposed to cruise back to a glacier and couldn’t because of the ice field.

Enjoying a nice cold evening with some soft music, a book, fireplace (electric), my wife and a glass of bourbon. Only thing better would be low 80s, toes in the sand and a cold drink on the beach somewhere. Any beach towns need a Computer Science/History Teacher or tech coach? 😜

Coming from a bad test taker— I’m sure ISBE’s $48 million 6 year contract with ACT will benefit the majority of IL students. 🙄 I’ve been in Ed for nearly 20 years and most Ss (unless in the top 10%) don’t care and find these tests a waste of time…and I know many Ts that feel the same way. #edusky
