Please. His right hand man voted yes. This is entirely identifying the least at risk people to reopen the government back room dealing. As someone else said, he's either so incompetent he can't rally a quarter of his troops, or he's a manipulative weakling. Neither is a good look.

Are they stupid? Do they actually think the people who sucked it up for 40 days will think anything other than it was all for nothing? The absolute disconnect with reality is staggering. They're taking advice from the same disasters that lost them the last election.

Yep, same with the last CR. This was a back office deal and unless D senators immediately and publicly move to replace him, they all need to be primaried. Those up next year especially.

The people who suffered the last 40 days suffered for nothing. There's no coming back for the Dems. The people whose support they most needed, they just sold up the river. Poor people have now been told by both sides that no one cares about them.

I agree. I'm just so upset, and disappointed, and, like, what's the point of anything anymore. We probably won't even get the Epstein files out of this either. Millions uninsured, everyone's costs going up. Just. Devastating.

This group made me hit the one point I didn't think I'd ever hit. Mayne Trump needed to be elected, so we could see how much of a disaster the federal government actually is. Maybe making ordinary people reach the burn it down phase will result in a better long term government. No more complacency.

Not just them. This was likely a concerted effort to allow just enough senators who aren't up anytime soon to take the hit for the establishment. They're all to blame at this point. Clean slate.

No, not in the least. Senate Democrats have, for the most part, been establishment trash for at least two decades. Spineless weasels only interested in enriching themselves. @smith.senate.gov, one of the good ones, is not running again. A sure sign of the futility of the good fight within them.

Schumer, eroding the faith in Democrats one CR at a time. This went from a solidly R shutdown to an entirely D one with them making people suffer just to cave at the last minute. He's just cost the Democrats the midterms. May he rot in hell.

I don't get it. Trump may have Supreme Court sponsored immunity, but none of the rest of them do. Given what he did to the last cabinet, what do these guys think is going to happen?
