So here's the thing. I don't really care. I'm not big into the GOAT and A or B or C wrestlers. I view wrestling as an art form. Art is subjective. Facts and numbers don't matter. The feelings matter. And with that said, I'm gonna agree to disagree and move one from this.

But that's exactly my point. I believe that he is. And that's my taste/perspective in wrestling. But just because you don't like him or see it that way doesn't mean he isn't in the conversation. Goes both ways. And he certainly is, because I'm not the only one who sees it.

And I disagree. I think he is one of the GOATS. You don't have to. But you seem to think you need to make me think he's not. Wrestling is all about perspective. And I, and a lot of people have mine. And you have yours.

I just love his character arc and think it's one of the best in the business. His performances are what I look forward to more than anything else on the roster.

Who will never be forgiven for taking The Shield away from his other brothers and the audience. He can't escape selling his soul or accept himself as the bad guy. Because he truly believes he is the good guy. Because Roman exists and is always forgiven, so why not him?

He is, in character, exactly what you described him as. Always second best to the Romans, Codys, and Punks. That eats at him. Each of those eras add a layer They are all the different pieces of who he is. An insecure, ruthless, manipulative, smart, workhorse.

He resorts to his resourcefulness (the architect still exists in him) to defeat them at Mania and create a group that he feels will be the future because he believes he's the best despite never being chosen as that. His insecurities prevent that. They may always.

When he returns, all his friends AND the fans have accepted monster Roman back into their lives, despite it being obvious that Roman is still the same Roman. That and Punk essentially drive him further into his insecurities. The audience and HIS friends all accept Punk back.

When the fans started to care again he worked so hard that he used those same crazy clothes/peacocking to hide his injuries. Despite wanting to be THE guy he gives everything to help Cody take down Roman (the cause of most of his original insecurities).

Correct. Seth is the same insecure dude that betrayed his brothers to join the authority. But along the way, he tried to slay kings/beasts for acceptance. Lost his mind as the Messiah/Visionary when the fans didn't care. Tried to hide those insecurities again w/ a joker like persona/crazy clothes.

I didn't say Seth was the reason he turned heel. I said he is partly to blame for him turning into an abusive monster in kayfabe. It's been discussed often on TV. It's why the WM40 Shield ending worked. Roman can't defeat Seth. He always has one over on him. Again, his kryptonite.

We are having two different conversations. I don't care if he's A+ or B+. That doesn't interest me. I'm talking about character work. Roman gets pinned by Seth an awful lot when it matters because character work/storytelling matter. And the crowd sings Seth's song all the time when he's mentioned.
October 1, 2025 at 1:47 AM
I mean in Kayfabe Seth is the catalyst for creating the monster that Roman became as the Tribal Chief. Roman's kryptonite. I adore Roman. But no one will ever convince me that Seth isn't the better bell to bell overall performer. The Edge to his Cena. But again that's all in one's perspective.

I said nothing about anyone being an A+ guy/girl. I said he has a better character. Roman and Cody are the faces of the company. Won't ever change my opinion on Seth being the glue. He stood out there last night and the crowd sang for his rivals. That's being the thread that ties it all together.
October 1, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Wow. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have both done some of their best work with Seth Rollins. The Shield changed professional wrestling. And last I checked Seth Rollins turning against the Shield is still relevant in Roman's story and character. Roman and Seth go hand in hand. They made each other.

I don't agree, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Seth carries the WWE in ways I think are more important than being Cody and Roman. And I think his character has more depth. And I'm talking about people that hate on him for the sake of hating on him, not normal internet people.
