Many people struggle with facing uncomfortable truths, not just in animal welfare but in various aspects of life.

They are unable or unwilling to acknowledge harsh truths & face the difficult emotions that come with that, such as pain and shame.

But denying harsh truths won't make them less real.

Chickens are a lot more intelligent than people give them credit for. I used to have them for pets. They were the best.

Weird how people don’t bother with euphemisms for chicken.

Until it’s plantbased that is. Then suddenly calling it chicken becomes problematic.

If Whole Foods was truly an ethical brand like they market themselves, they would take concrete steps & be transparent about it.

Branding seems to matter more to them than actual accountability. That speaks volumes.
