I played all on controller as well, but at least on easy it was tolerable. Had to retry some boss fights in AW1 but once I figured out the mechanics it wasn't that bad.

Alan Wake 1 feels so janky but I kinda enjoyed it anyway. Control I turned on accessibility stuff too toward the end and the dlcs. Alan Wake 2 some boss fights were sooo annoying and I played it on release before they added in all the accessibility settings so I just had to persevere
