kinda bummed today, lost a working rooster to old age yesterday. he was a spoiled sassy bastard who would kick you if insulted but he was gorgeous & really cared about the hens & looked after them well, showing them the good snack spots & ever-vigilant against cats or birds of prey.

got to see the World's Largest Carousel and all the adjoining rooms today, absolute heaven

I had been chatting about my dream cast members for a Discworld, and was struggling to recall the name of a particularly good British actor who I felt could deliver that restrained rage and warmth of Sam Vimes. a quick wikipedia search yields the name Pete Postlethwaite, where I find this
