Andor season one didn’t have to go so hard as a dense, methodical political drama laying out the ways fascism creeps and authoritarianism takes hold, but it did. If you understandably dismissed it as just another Disney+ Star Wars show, it very much is not, and it will hit extra hard right now.
New(ish), from me: Andor returns on April 22. The first season detailed how bureaucracies in a totalitarian regime function, what is the toll of living under such regimes, and what causes people to rebel. Those themes feel more salient than ever. 🧵
