Finally, I agree with buying used. Especially if you have a friend that knows what to look for. You’ll save a bunch of money, be able to get a better instrument for less. Also, if you decided guitar isn’t for you, you can resell and recoup most of what you paid.

Also, I see you mentioned playing quietly; in that case, you could get a modeler or an audio interface and be able to play through headphones via your computer. There are lots of options these days. For quiet practice, I use a Quilter super block UK, but there’s cheaper options too!

Sorry I’m late getting back to you. The epi hollow body would definitely work for that style. I would recommend against playing an electric acoustically though; that can lead to forming bad habits like fretting too hard and causing intonation issues.
