I hate that the message that's passing is that the praise you receive for something is more important than HOW and WHY you do it... Because it's also what the negative little shit inside my brain keeps telling me and I'm like... Isn't this what you're supposed to fight against if you wanna do stuff?

This is especially infuriating to me cuz I've been struggling with artblock for 4+ years (and still am) but NEVER ONCE I surrendered to having something else make it for me... because when I'm actually able to shut up the negative self-talk, sit down and get in the zone I STILL FEEL GOOD.
