Game 76 - Persona 5 Royal: A fantastic JRPG, great characters, battle system and soundtrack. I still personally like P3 more but this is the game that really made the series popularity skyrocket. My one big criticism is there is a lot of time spent repeating information you already know.

Game 75 - Resident Evil 3: Really good too, feels really responsive which is an odd thing to say about a game with tank controls. The additional movement options this game adds push it over the edge in terms of how it plays but RE2 is the better experience overall.

Game 74 - Sonic The Hedgehog: Still a pretty decent time, but the level design as the game goes on begins to fall apart a little for me, and the final boss needing to be done without any rings is just cruel for no good reason. I wouldn’t call this a classic personally, but it’s almost there.

Game 73 - Resident Evil 2: The perfect survival horror game, an absolute blast. Everything comes together to create just one of the greatest games the PS1 had to offer. The pre rendered backgrounds still look pretty good for their age though the cg cutscenes haven’t faired so well.

Game 72 - TLOZ Wind Waker: Honestly this was a bit of a let down on the replay. It still has a lot to love, but you can really see the rushed nature of development and there’s just a lot of small annoyances that add up to a kind of frustrating game. The art direction is still top notch though.

Had to get this out of a box in the attic, I remember when they had a big assembly at school about this back in 1997.

Game 71 - Lost Soul Aside: A fun combat system in search of a game. Almost 10 years later and the entire appeal of the original trailer is all the game has to show for itself. The story is complete nonsense and it’s badly translated too. That combat *is* fun tho and the environments can be pretty 🤣

Game 70 - The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds: Still probably my favourite Zelda game. Maybe a bit on the easy side, but that extends to the side stuff not being so hidden you have to look up a guide. Feels great to play, actually takes advantage of the 3D and there isn’t a bad dungeon in here

Game 69 - Star Wars The Clone Wars: A kinda fun precursor to the Battlefront series. A little underbaked but it has the guts of a good game and it definitely doesn’t overstay its welcome. If you have a free afternoon it’s a perfectly good way to spend it, and it’s a very easy platinum trophy too 🤣

Game 68 - Soul Reaver 2: A bit of a letdown in the gameplay department after the first one, but the story is really great. I can see why this series has a strong fan base even to this day. Still an enjoyable Zelda-like action adventure, just not as tightly designed as the original.
September 10, 2025 at 10:50 AM
Game 67 - Robocop Rogue City Unfinished Business: Basically just an expansion pack for the original game, but the tighter focus actually makes this a bit more fun than the base, even if the tower block setting does get a bit wearing after a while. The freeze gun thing is class too 🤣

Game 66 - Soul Reaver: I had never played this, it’s so good! Love the vibe and the way it handles death feels a bit ahead of its time, tho losing your weapon every time you’re hit does kind of suck. Overall holds up really well though.

Would you describe this as “Used - Very Good”? I don’t enjoy complaining but I’m not thrilled at the condition this arrived in

It’s so pretty 😍

I still have to listen to the last story in this, but man Rob Sherman never misses; “My Own Private Wolfgang” is so, so, so good, and I always get excited when I realise it’s a Six and Evelyn story. Evelyn Smythe is the best companion ever.

Today’s addition to the collection 😁

Game 65 - Klonoa 2 Lunatea’s Veil: One of those sequels that builds so well on the first to the point I’m not sure a third is necessary. The story is expanded a little, the platforming is improved and variety is added. Shame the remaster didn’t retain the gorgeous cel shaded style of the PS2 version
August 26, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Game 64 - Klonoa Door To Phantomile: A short and cute platformer that has some nice unique mechanics. Klonoa is such a a great character design as well, and the story is cute. The PS5 remaster looks nice but it would have been nice to add the original as a bonus.
August 26, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Game 63 - Toree Saturn: A super short and sweet speed platformer. I enjoyed the first couple of Toree games but this one is definitely the best so far. Super cheap and beatable in an hour, but there’s decent replayability from a few mini games, secrets and just trying to beat your own time.
August 26, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Game 62 - Mafia The Old Country: A pretty great experience. Not quite on par with the first two games, but much better than the third one. The story is pretty predictable but well told, more than happy to support more AA development.

Picked up a couple of things that were still in my mums house, I can’t believe what good condition my copy of Majora’s Mask is in, and that I still had the strategy guide lying around 🤣
