I get the feeling that a lot of people are opting to "lay low" rather than engage in active resistance on the belief that we can just "wait Trump out"...he'll be gone in 3 years and then we'll "return to normal". It's a nice thought...I just don't know how realistic it is.

CBS, who fired a comedian Trump hated to get a merger done, is reporting that the woman who trafficked and raped children and who Trump is talking about pardoning did NOT implicate Trump during talks with Trump's former personal lawyer who is no at the DOJ. Sure - this sounds legit.

I'm glad Obama came out with a statement today, BUT...he needs to do more. He should be saying something like "these comments are so bizarre and delusional that it's time for congress and the cabinet to consider the possibility that Pres Trump is too mentally ill to continue as President".

There are lots of people in this country who are so broken and fragile that they feel compelled to take time out of a summer weekend to rant online about how a film presents the backstory of a fictitious comic book character...and these are the people we elected to run things. God help us.

Can't most people relate to the experience of working for a demoralizing organization with asshole bosses who have zero respect for the dignity of their employees? It sickens me that these poor people losing their livelihoods also have to be subjected to humiliation and scorn by Musk and Trump.

Qualifier: I am a "silver-lining-aholic"...BUT...while I am legit terrified of what lies ahead in the short term, the fact is that unlike 2016 when the prospect of an 8 year run of this madman was very real, I feel like we can survive 4. The Trump era WILL end in 4 years. The clock is ticking.
