As long as you don’t use untrusted lists as a way to mass block accounts, and others in your circle do the same, you will be good. In general you don’t need to worry about being added to scary-sounding lists as long as you and your friends don’t use them. Manually block offenders!

I am definitely on the @skywatch.bsky.social MAGA list. I confirmed that via ClearSky.app and actually scrolling through the MAGA list. What is unconfirmed is whether our community members use that list to mass block MAGAts. I do not use lists for blocking, but I can’t say for others.

I am definitely on the @skywatch.bsky.social MAGA list. I confirmed that via ClearSky.app and actually scrolling through the MAGA list. What is unconfirmed is whether our community members use that list to mass block MAGAts. I do not use lists for blocking, but I can’t say for others.
For example, I just checked the latest list from Melanie @lilmudda.bsky.social and counted 51 of the accounts as having me blocked. That is incredible. Until this week I had no accounts in our community blocking me until I landed on the MAGA list from @skywatch.bsky.social

Some tidbits from my year here. The Starter Packs sponsored by people you follow are excellent. I don’t see many in my community using Lists. There are moderation services that create Lists that some use as a way to block accounts, I wouldn’t trust those. Block manually instead. Hope that helps!
