Thank you Greyhound, indeed! I saw some men in black asking passengers for passports and boarding passes OUTSIDE passport control at LAX when I came back in March. It was SIMPLE HARASSMENT, obviously directed at passengers who "looked foreign."

This is true. What is EMILIA PEREZ "backlash" all about? Is it *really* about European males making.a film about Mexican women (I am a Japanese female filming a Byron story in Greece)? Or is it because its stars are a trans woman and a Black Latina?

Trump ad, 1987: typical Trade War rhetoric; ignores the fact that the U.S. needed Japan as an ally on the other side of the Pacific. The U.S. dropped the atomic bombs so they could land in Japan before USSR, and poured financial and technological aid to rebuild Japan's postwar economy.

Senator Tammy Duckworth (Illinois) has piloted Black Hawk helicopters like the one involved in the crash. This is why the Draft Dodger in Chief began going off again on “DEI.” Sen. Duckworth has received four medals from the U.S. and Thailand, including a Purple Heart.

At my highschool BFF's request (+ in the recent L.A. Fires evacuation anxiety), I scanned my pencil-drawn mangas (1978). The first two pages.

This is how it began.

I knew the word “giaour” – “infidel” – was derogatory; a Greek-Albanian friend added “less than human, like cockroaches to be stamped out.”

Byron was vague about his Giaour’s origins, except for that he’d be a non-Muslim.

Yuval Noah Harrari's SAPIENS: A Graphic History, Volume Three. Something I was dealing with in 1992, and am dealing with again: the belief that one's physical (visible) identity determines their cultural output.

EMILÍA PÉREZ is a film about women, trans and otherwise, in a fictionalized Mexico, by mostly French men (with the exception of composer Camille). I'm sure the bulk of criticism comes from America, where colonial guilt manifests on the other hand as "stay in your lane" genetic determinism.

Liu’s participation forced Tarantino to address the racist casting conventions in Hollywood: traditionally, Chinese actors were cast in Japanese roles, and vice versa. In this scene, O-Ren beheads one of her subordinates (lesser bosses) for complaining about her dual cultural identity. #casting

We are in a propaganda blitz. I am getting, on Instagram, follow requests from "artists" who post AI images of Elon Musk in this mode:

Not quite full circle – I wrote THE HEART OF NO PLACE (premiered 2009) in the late 1990s as digital & desktop filmmaking was becoming a reality. I am just finishing an AI-assisted closed caption, and I will probably be able to publish it while Imagine Peace Tower is lit this year.
