Today I got to visit the IDDP-2 drill site in the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. The borehole behind me is around 4.5 km deep, with bottom hole temperature ca +430°C. It was drilled in 2016-2017 as part of the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP).
