Wow. If killing innocent people in large numbers isn’t a sign that there’s some form of mental illness involved …do we need to consider anger to be a form of mental illness? Or does the fact that we all get angry from time to time mean we’re all at risk of committing mass murder? Very unsettling.

Speaking as a Canadian, the trade war is only part of the reason. We don’t want to find ourselves unlawfully detained or kidnapped either. The United States under Trump is being recognized as an oppressive and tyrannical authoritarian state. I’m not going anywhere near you guys.

Napoleon said, “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.” If they do nothing but make mistakes, it would seem wise to give them a freer hand. The problem is the amount of damage they’re doing. In my opinion it will take at least 20 years to repair the damage done thus far.

I suspect that the majority of those who are on the wrong side lack the degree of introspection, the intellect, and the level of integrity required to achieve that realization. Otherwise they would have been on the right side all along.

As an observer from the north I’d like to say that I think it’s gone beyond mere party loyalty. Trumplestiltskin makes everything personal. Politicians are protecting their own personal interests from a president who has the power to destroy them. There’s no loyalty. There is only fear.
