In fact, more awards should be given to average BIPOC artists/creators because of the iniquities faced and challenges overcome in comparison to their privileged white counterparts.

This is the same mindset that these people have saying Beyoncé didn’t deserve the Grammy for her country album. Even when they’ve awarded their mediocre counterparts countless times - white people want BIPOC artists to be exceptional in order to win.
