Invite your friends to make posters with you before a protest. Join your local @50501movement.bsky.social chapter. Find other ways to connect with people who share your values and do something about it TOGETHER.

Sure, YOU need to get in your car to drive to a protest. YOU need to check in on your friends. YOU need to vote. But it’s exhausting imagining what one person can do against overwhelming evil. So… don’t. Imagine that you’re part of a movement instead – because you are.

But no single individual acting alone can start fascism – even Trump has a team around him, working tirelessly to enact his fascist agenda – and no single individual acting alone can stop it.

Every one of us has the power to start a wildfire – by neglecting to douse a campfire thoroughly, by carelessly throwing a cigarette butt out the window – and so every one of us has the power to prevent wildfires, through diligence, care, and attention.

Don't discount the possibility that some of those responses could be coming from well-disguised Russian content farms or bots! We talk a lot about disinformation but they also post divisive takes en masse simply to make us dislike and distrust each other and undermine our civil society.
