Public services are crumbling in the UK.

Community organisations, like Andy's in Sheffield, hold both the knowledge & trust of local people, both of which are key to fixing our failing public services.

This country needs a new Community Right to Shape Public Services.

💔 Hartlepool’s broken dream: a one-stop shop for community business, education & wellbeing.

When a local enterprise centre went up for sale, Wharton Trust whipped up plans to make it community-led. But without the council’s backing, their dream remains in limbo.

With 4 in 5 UK adults feeling powerless over decisions that affect their areas, the Bill could turn the tide on mass discontent. But only if it delivers communtiy power.

💔 Gipton’s broken dream: a joyful, shared community garden to grow food and host events.

A community came incredibly close to growing their dream garden. Then the bad news hit. Poor communication between council departments had shut down their project.

💔 Woking’s broken dream: A safe space for the community to come together to enjoy art & music.

For 10 years, Phoenix Cultural Centre burned bright in Woking, but after a long battle to find a home, its doors will close this winter.

Today is the last chance for MPs to visit the Museum of Broken Dreams in Parliament.

The exhibition displays shelved community projects like Two Fifty & Four’s plan for a skate hub in Greenwich. Instead of a skate park, the land was bought by a private developer and remains empty. arcg.is/0K9SvG1
