My dad fought fascism in WWII. I’m proud to be an anti-fascist & follow him today.
Be fucking resilient. Find another way. There’s always another way.
Soldiers can’t fight effectively if they can’t trust that they have each other’s backs, that their comrades will make good decisions, & morale is maintained. Yet Dems repeatedly tell us year after year to ignore their past betrayals & unite for the future, then pull the rug out from under us. Again.

How their relationship seems to have grown! 💕 Does Spike take comfort in her company, or does he still get a little nervous?

As the aristocrats of US government, senators naturally accrue wealth & lend their sympathies to the status quo that empowers the powerful. If they retain their seats they can create dynasties, which are anathema to the entire spirit of the nation’s foundation. We’ve forgotten this at our peril.
Congress was created with the image of the English Parliament In mind. The House of Commons became the House of Representatives. The House of Lords became the Senate.

That is all you need to know about the “whys?” and “how could theys?” of the US Senate.

Thank you for this spark of sanity & deliciousness. My timeline is otherwise ghastly right now.

He’s dead anyway. He has almost no constituency left. The MAGAts hate him for his Lt. Gov. days. His great buddy McCormick finds him a useful tool. We who voted for him would rather eat glass than do it again. But no matter what we do he won’t resign. We're stuck w/out representation for 2 more yrs.

They also backed Jasmine Crockett. I get how you feel, but having roots in SW PA & lived in PA almost all my life & having a spouse who did years of political volunteering & having worked for 20+ years for the state, I know he was a progressive before the stroke broke him & irrationality took him.

It was stunning to look at and the humanity of it brought tears to my eyes. It happened to be sandwiched between “Companion” and “The Substance” in my weekend watch lineup, and omg I feel like going all Joan of Arc on the world now.
