I think the team looked a lot better when Merino came on the pitch. Do you think the team would be more balanced if he starts at the 8, move Havertz up front, and Jesus out wide in Saka's spot? I think Jesus has a bit more technical quality as compared to Martinelli but just my opinion.

He's been a great signing but I think the valuation is based on him playing the 6 role. I would rather see Merino, Havertz, Trossard, etc in the #8 role unless Arsenal is playing a team like Man City or Liverpool. In that case I understand Rice and Partey as a double pivot.

I don't want to hate on Rice or anything but if these valuations are even close to the truth then Arsenal massively overpaid for Rice and underpaid for Havertz. However if you listen to enough fans on Facebook or YouTube it seems that they are living in some bizarro world. Or maybe English tax lol

I also don't understand the fan's hate for Havertz. He's only the leading scorer on the team even though he doesn't always play the CF role. Also if you go by Football Transfers, they list him as Arsenal's second most valuable player after Saka. The same people that hate Havertz never criticize Rice

Tom, as an Arsenal fan, are we overreacting to Jesus's performance? If VAR was available, Jesus ends the game with 1 goal. I just don't see him starting for a run of games as big of a slam dunk as everyone else.

How about just starting Nwaneri from now on at the 8 and move Rice back to 6. I bet that fixes a lot of issues.
