Ali uses large loose brush strokes to create pieces that are abstract expressionistic and whimsical in style. Ali uses several mediums such as acrylic, oil, pastel, ink, charcoal and pastels to create pieces that are unique in style and texture. Her marks are laid down using large brushes in a quick fashion to keep each stroke fresh and clean.

I wrote a feature film script about up-and-coming filmmakers in 1998 when I lived in London and had a few meetings with studios but the film idea was never realised because it was dependent on Robert Redford playing himself and the studios said he wouldn't do it.
And I was never mad about that.
