I've started doing a similar thing when I'm out with the dog and bump into other dog walkers, saying things like "that's a lovely sturdy coat he's wearing" or "she's beautifully groomed and she knows it!". Great conversation starter rather than usual "'morning"....

Nobody told her what was going on.

Why would you do this?

If you don't already do this - here's top tip for dog walkers in coming cold snap. Take boots and beanie off after you get back from your walk, leave them in boiler/utility room close to boiler. When you put them on to go back out, you have blissful toasty toes and bonce to start you off next time.
